Dawid Godziek is the most decorated Polish freestyle BMX rider, and he started his career on an MTB bike at the age of 12. His older brother Szymon also caught his passion for bikes. After several years of training together, in 2010 Dawid switched to BMX, which became a breakthrough in his career. In 2011 he took 4th place at the BMX Masters World Championships, and in the following seasons he began to achieve increasing successes in international competitions, such as the bronze medal at Rebel Jam in Spain.
2013 turned out to be a breakthrough for Dawid – he won a double Polish championship in skatepark and dirt, and also triumphed in competitions in Europe, including Slovakia and Hungary. His participation in the prestigious Red Bull Dreamline competition in the USA ended with an impressive 5th place, which strengthened his position among the world leaders. In the following years he won the podium at the most important events, winning, among others, Vans Kill The Line in France, NASS in England, and the Moscow City Games and Z-Games in Ukraine.
Dawid kept surprising with new tricks, including being the first BMX rider in the world to do the Twister. In 2018, after years of success on BMX, he started competing on MTB again, which resulted in further triumphs, including a gold medal at the X-Games in Sydney and victories in the Toyota Triple Challenge series in the United States. In 2019, he achieved further important victories, including winning the Swatch Rocket Air and winning a medal at Crankworx Innsbruck.
Despite the pandemic, Dawid used the 2020 season to develop his skills and participate in film projects such as Bike Mafia. In 2021, he returned to competitions, winning silver at Red Bull Copenride and gold at the historic Polish competition Red Bull Roof Ride. The following years brought even more success, such as a podium at the X-Games and high placings at Crankworx competitions around the world. In 2023, Dawid continued his dominance, taking 2nd place at Crankworx Rotorua.
